									<div style="font-size: 13px; font-family: Poppins, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #333333;"><div><strong>Assistant Manager Payroll &amp; Compliance &#8211; Bangalore</strong></div><div> </div><div><div><strong><u>Roles and Responsibilities</u></strong></div><ul><li>Perform tasks to establish and maintain employee payroll records</li><li>Input, review, and audit timekeeping and other payroll related records</li><li>Maintain time and attendance records</li><li>Enter new hires into the payroll system</li><li>Post changes in pay, tax status, and other miscellaneous categories</li><li>Compute wage, overtime, and other types of pay</li><li>Calculate and record payroll deductions (voluntary and involuntary)</li><li>Process advance, termination and other out-of-cycle payments</li><li>Reconcile earnings and deduction totals</li><li>Review output registers and reports and correct out-of-balance conditions</li><li>Compile payroll data for management, auditors, and others</li><li>Assure that all employees receive timely responses to inquiries, questions, etc.</li><li>Independently coordinate and communicate with all internal groups, hiring managers, and external parties</li><li>Manage smooth onboarding and Audit process as per defined guidelines</li></ul><div> </div><div><strong><u>Other Responsibilities</u></strong></div><ul><li>Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, rewards, deductions, taxes and third-party payments)</li><li>Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems</li><li>Processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies</li><li>Supervise and coach payroll team</li><li>Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits</li><li>Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams</li><li>Maintain accurate records and prepare reports</li><li>Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions</li></ul><div> </div><div><strong><u>Desired Candidate Profile</u></strong></div><ul><li>Proven experience as a Payroll or similar role</li><li>Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws</li><li>Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes</li><li>Familiarity with payroll software/ HRIS and MS Office (especially Excel)</li><li>Organizational and leadership skills</li><li>Minimum experience 4 to 10 years</li><li>Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed and think and act independently while also being team oriented</li><li>Good follow-up skills; the ability to understand; adaptability to process changes; and a strong sense of importance and ownership</li></ul><div> </div><div><strong><u>Must-Haves:</u></strong></div><ul><li>Minimum 4yrs experience MIS Excel, Indian Payroll and handling statutory compliance</li><li>Should be excellent in Advance Excel.</li><li>Laptop is mandatory for interview process.</li><li>Person should have experience in handling more than 5k employee headcount.
